A major upgrade project for public safety is one step closer to completion.
McCracken County and the City of Paducah verbally agreed to a $10 million contract with Communications International for a 911 radio system upgrade in a joint meeting Monday night.
It’s the final phase of a years-long process to update emergency communication infrastructure.
Communications International says the paperwork will take about a month to file.
