SOLUTIONS

When every second counts, count on us.

Your needs require a true Systems Integrator. Ci works with and supports technologies from competing manufacturers to give you a solution that includes the best technologies and the services that you need. We are your single point of accountability – the one vendor that you can rely on to design, deliver and support a unified solution.

The economic climate requires you to get the most out of your resources and previous investments. Reject the typical “forklift upgrade mentality” from other vendors who propose costly full system replacements. Take a new approach with Ci. We are evolution experts able to incorporate, support and service existing systems while adding in new elements as needed.

Many of our employee-owners were Public Safety or military personnel, so we know first-hand the need to have the best solution and have the confidence that it will be implemented on-time and within budget with no surprises.

Volusia County relies on Ci. The large metropolitan Florida county employed a thoughtful technology migration where existing equipment was used as much as possible. “Ci even utilized our existing equipment racks to save money and reduce implementation times.”

WIRELESS NETWORKS

Coverage + Capacity + Reliability = Your Ci Solution

Your communications are the lifeline for your users. Whether you need a new installation or a cost-effective evolution to new technology, Ci will deliver the right solution for you.

Standards-based technologies provide the opportunity to get the best from different manufacturers – but are you able to take advantage of it? Competitive relationships prevent manufacturers from supporting and promoting solutions that are not part of their product catalog. Ci has access, familiarity and training with multiple vendors to provide you with a multiple vendor system and ongoing support.

P25
P25 systems offer the most flexible, robust and future-ready solution available – a true end-to-end IP network and single platform for all Public Safety communications. Ci’s P25 expertise gives us the ability to migrate existing legacy systems to P25 cost effectively and with minimal impact to your daily operations. Trunking provides users access to a shared collection of radio channels, making it particularly effective in forming shared regional systems.

Conventional Wireless Networks
For cost-effective low-density communications system needs, Ci offers conventional radio solutions from Harris, iCOM, Kenwood and other manufacturers to provide the best solution.

Narrowbanding
With the FCC deadline set for December 2012, licensees who have not begun their narrowband migration should considering the following steps today:

  • Take an inventory of your radios to assess what equipment is capable of operating in 12.5 kHz and what will need to be replaced. The FCC has required all radios certified since 1997 to include a 12.5 kHz efficiency mode. Therefore, most of your new equipment is likely to be dual mode (25/12.5 kHz) that can be simply converted via software.
  • If you have pagers on your system, verify whether or not they are operating on “paging only” channels.
  • Develop your budget requirements and explore possible funding options.
  • Establish a conversion and implementation schedule to meet the deadline.
  • Contact Ci to help coordinate your conversion with FCC neighboring agencies to facilitate continued interoperability among your locations and or agencies.
  • Conduct tests during your conversion to ensure your system continues to provide similar coverage.
  • Contact Ci to help you with FCC frequency coordinators for any license modifications you may need.

Digital Mobile Radio Networks
To deliver maximum performance within the constraints of tight operating budgets, Ci recommends implementing a Digital Mobile Radio network. DMR communication solutions exceed the FCC Narrowband mandate and are compatible with other solutions while providing apps at a cost-effective price.

Long-Term Evolution Networks
LTE provides mission critical video, voice and data applications to mobile users through a secure, private and prioritized mobile network that links Public Safety broadband, cellular carrier and LMR communications on a single infrastructure platform.

TDMA Networks
Harris OpenSky offers high-quality digital voice trunking capabilities that are scalable to meet a wide range of Public Safety and professional communication agency needs. Ci has rolled out these networks in Clark County and Las Vegas, NV, and in Naperville and Aurora, IL.

NXDN™ Networks
IDAS™ is Icom’s digital land mobile radio system using the NXDN common air interface.  It offers a complete system of handheld radios, mobile radios, repeaters, network interface/trunking controllers, remote communicators and various accessories. Idas is a complete digital solution that system owners and managers can expand into as their time and budgets allow.

Paging

COVERAGE

We’ve got you covered – guaranteed.

Ci engineers combine strategically placed sites, optimized antenna systems and various technologies to provide the right coverage solution outdoors or in-buildings.

Bi-Directional Amplifiers
Bi-Directional Amplifiers (BDAs), or signal boosters, offer a fast inexpensive way to improve in-building coverage for mission critical communications. Ci’s well-planned networks locate the right sites so that fewer BDAs are needed. As an expert systems designer, Ci can be trusted to follow FCC regulations and federal rules on the implementation and operation of these signal-boosting amplifiers.

Vehicular Repeaters
In some cases, Ci may recommend the use of a Vehicular Repeater system. This innovative and cost effective option gives you enhanced building penetration at the scene of an incident. By placing these repeater stations in optimum locations, communications from low-powered portable radios can be extended over a wide range to serve many users.

SITE CONNECTIVITY

Microwave Networks for Effective Communications.

Public Safety networks face a multitude of critical issues – the need to share data across jurisdictions, inter-facility communications complexity, increased bandwidth requirements, increasing Ethernet requirements and the convergence of departmental IT systems. SchoolSAFE COMMUNICATIONS

Interoperable Communications in Schools

SchoolSAFE Communications is a web-enabled two-way radio based product that allows for communications interoperability between school radio systems and public safety radio systems.

School-based radio systems are generally less capable and lack the channel capacities, power, and digital signaling to interoperate directly with public safety professionals who may have more sophisticated and much more advanced radio systems. Once the SchoolSAFE Communications product is in place then school security and public safety professionals from police, fire and EMS can easily initiate or receive communications with school personnel utilizing their existing two-way radios.

FATPOT Technologies Demonstrates Innovative Data Sharing Platform at Illinois Public Safety Telecommunications Association Annual Conference

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Springfield, IL October 19, 2014 FATPOT Technologies will present its Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) data sharing solutions next week at the Illinois Public Safety Telecommunications Association (IPSTA) conference at the Crowne Plaza Convention Hall in Springfield, IL from October 19-21st.

To ensure fast response times and officer safety, law enforcement agencies need to be aware of emergencies, incidents and resources in their region. While CAD systems provide useful functionality and features for dispatching, they can have limited interoperability capabilities.  FATPOT’s CADfusion™ adds a powerful interoperability platform to any CAD system to bring real-time sharing of calls and resources to achieve a Common Operating Picture.

“We are privileged to help law enforcement and public safety agencies connect their disparate systems to respond faster and safer.” said John Rosati, Vice President of Sales.  FATPOT’s CADfusion™ has been proven at prominent agencies including the Hennepin County, MN, Lake County IL, Trinidad and Tobago, Orange County Fire Authority, CA and the Ontario Ministry of Health. The company’s solution was used by Boston area first responders in the Boston area to help facilitate situational awareness and intra-agency communications during the Boston Marathon bombings.

Visit FATPOT Technologies at the 2014 IPSTA Conference in booth 500/502 or at www.fatpot.com.
