Communications International Receives Contract Award for Charlotte County Radio System

PUNTA GORDA, FL, April 10, 2017 – Communications International (Ci) is pleased to announce its contract award by Charlotte County, Florida to supply and install a new Project 25 Phase 1 and Phase 2 compliant public safety radio system.

The County’s new radio system, which replaces its current end-of-life system, features a turnkey, 7-site 700 MHz linear simulcast design using the latest Harris P25 Phase 1 and Phase 2 technology. Ci’s customized solution also includes the Harris BeOn® push-to-talk platform for increased situational awareness and fully encrypted communications between cellular phones and other smart devices. The new radio system was designed to meet Charlotte County’s rigorous requirements for improvement to its communications including excellent coverage, increased functionality and high reliability. The new system also provides interoperability with surrounding counties and agencies. “Charlotte County knew exactly what it wanted to achieve and we are pleased to deliver a solution that enables them to meet all of their goals by utilizing the latest in public safety technology to effectively transition their communications from analog to digital,” stated Henry Erfurt, Director of Strategic Accounts. “We are grateful to Charlotte County and their selection committee for placing their confidence in Ci.
