Communications International Completes Upgrade of Dispatch Operations in Chowan County, NC

GOLDSBORO, NC, August 29, 2016 – Communications International (Ci), has completed installation of a new dispatch system designed to improve operations and enhance 911 dispatch capabilities for first responders in Chowan County, NC.

Chowan County’s customized dispatch solution features Harris Symphony™ consoles. The Symphony™ consoles utilize Harris’ advanced VIDA® Core technology to ensure better system redundancy and dependability. The County’s new system and enhanced infrastructure provides them with more reliable communications as well as interoperability with the North Carolina P25 Voice Interoperability Plan for Emergency Responders (VIPER) system. Additionally, it supports P25 Phase 1 and 2, enabling additional growth and flexibility well into the future.
